This fun to watch evolve, but I have to ask aboout your choice of panel aspect ratio.
It all seems identical – what is your intended publishing platform? iPhone? Webcomic?
Excuse me if you discussed this already.

That’s a good question. I haven’t really spoken directly about format. I initially intended Green Monk to be short mini-comic, along the lines of Jordan Crane’s “the Shortcut” or “The Clouds Above”. Which are about 4.25 x 5.5, with one frame on each page.

As the story development progressed, and the narrative got longer, I also liked the idea that a consistent frame would give me the flexibility to publish in mini-comic or in full format (Kind of like Chester Brown’s biography of Louis Riel, but there are a lot of old comics that did this). I guess it would also translate pretty easily into an iphone app.

Finally, the format is kind of a halfway point between comics and film making. I like that it feels cinematic, but that I can also be really efficient with the storytelling.
