Ghosts of Inktober
Although Inktober is technically over, I’ve still got some sketches to do for my pre-orders, so I’ve requested an extension. You’ll probably see a couple more of these before the ghosts of Inktober are fully exorcised from my drawing table.
These three sketches are attempts at trying to understand a little bit of A.J. Casson. While I like what I was able to do with some of these sketches, I feel like they are just me regurgitating impressions of the shapes and forms I saw in his work. I’d like to go a on a field trip sometime and try drawing some real-world objects using an A.J. Casson approach.

Love what you’ve got going on here. Casson is a genius. A guy at work has a big over sized book of his paintings. It was hard to get anything done while I had that thing at my desk.
